Guest Mr. Nintendo
*Sees the topic title has to do with enviromental noise* *Checks the topic insted has to do with songs you like* Err...OK, whatever. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKLJTt8DaD4 (Isn't this topic a bit similar to "What are you jamming to?" ?, just curious.) Psygonis
Oh great... Now because of you, Saber will hate that topic! D: Concerning me, I think lately, that theme tends to make me quite emotional: Back in earlier days, I used to feel that way when listening to Dearly Beloved from the Kingdom Hearts 2 soundtrack for IRL reasons. Vy'drach
Oh great... Now because of you, Saber will hate that topic! D: No offense to Sabre, but I think people stopped caring what he thinks long ago. I love that song, I love the sound and the lyrics.
ThePointingMan
This particular song make me feel... weird... in a good way. http://vulpvibe.band...you-feat-adraen And this one http://vulpvibe.bandcamp.com/track/something-beautiful As well as this song and anything this guy made under the alias of Aurastys. Sabre
Oh great... Now because of you, Saber will hate that topic! D: Not true. As I've said countless times now. I don't mind MLP itself. What I do mind is the kind of mindless arse who only likes it to appear hip, rad, witty and popular, spamming unrelated memes as a result. No offense to Sabre, but I think people stopped caring what he thinks long ago. I love that song, I love the sound and the lyrics. That makes me hate the topic. Anyway, back on topic. Any stuff I would post would usually have personal significance and thus wouldn't really fit, or just come across as me being emo.

DZComposer
Hans Zimmer is a genius. Hans Zimmer has a dirty little secret: He is not a musician. He comes up with the melody, and the nameless composers who work for him actually write everything. That's why all of his stuff sounds the same. Don't get me wrong, I like that piece (we played it as our ballad my freshman year high school band), but Hans Zimmer himself had little involvement in it. Dimitri Shostakovich, on the other hand, WAS a musical genius. This tune was his entry into a contest to write the Soviet National Anthem. He did not win, with the judges preferring Alexander Alexandrov's tune, which is still used by the modern Russian Federation. Now, Shostakovich was not known for works like this one. He was more known for dissonance and firey works. And for Piano stuff. He also is the only composer to write more symphonies than Beethoven. Beethoven wrote 9. Shostakovich wrote 15. This is more of what Shostakovich was known for: There is a beautiful horn solo in the middle of this movement. BTW, that is the great Leonard Bernstein on the podium. Sir Edward Elgar is another great composer. Here is Enigma Variation No. 9, Nimrod: In the US, Elgar is know for writing Pomp and Circumstance, which is often called the "graduation song." It was actually an entire suite, which Disney had condensed for Fantasia 2000 in a very nice way.
Sabre
That kind of thing I dont get. Like manufactured boy bands, why do the song writers do that job when they could be a famous song writer or whatever?

Icy
Well, a song that "tugs to my heart"… Forgive me. I like the sound of rain, in a way its so beautiful and relaxing in its own way. http://www.rainymood.com/ I listen to this for hours on end when it comes to projects and things I never thought of just listening to rain. When I'm working on something, I find it hard to concentrate and listen to music so I just sit there in silence, but I like something to be flowing through my head too. Rain is such a beautiful sound, indeed.
