Asper Sarnoff
A little meme I and Fira had a lot of fun with. Faced with the zombie accopalypse, and having to carve out a living in a world inhabited by the living dead, how'd you do it? Fill out this form as you see appropriate. There's no inheriatly right or wrong way to do it. Some would probably had got you eaten earlier than others, but your demise might have looked more impressive! Have fun. Name: (Your name.) Location: (Where is your character trying to survive?) Base of operation: (Your lair/hideout/stronghold/whatever.) Vehicles: (Your wheels!) Headgear: (Optional, but everyone needs their favorite zombie kickin' hat!) Clothing upper body: Clothing lower body: Footwear: Your backpack: (You have room for 6 items, no more. Primary weapon, with ammo: (Be realistic on what you can carry!) Secondary weapon, with ammo: (Same as above.) Meele weapon: (For when you get close and personal.) Sidekick: (No human. Can only be an animal.) Last words: (What you utter with your last breath as you're torn to pieces.) Example. My choices. Name: Asper Sarnoff Location: Classified, in case zombies can read... Base of operation: Old military base, or bunker. We have tons of so-called sea forts along the coastline, built by the Germans during WW2. Vehicles: Something that goes anywhere, is tough enough to takea beating, is reliable, and when it eventually breaks, because it will, it must be easily fixable. I'm therefore going for a military-spec M998 Humvee, with a few custom aditions of my own. Winch, chunky tires, bars over the windows, that kind of stuff. Headgear: Waterproof Boonie in dark forest camo. Clothing upper body: Norwegian army M/04 waterproof jacket. (Waterproof my ass... But it's at least water-resistant!) Clothing lower body: Lower half of M/04 uniform. Footwear: A pair of well worn in M-77 army boots. Those are modelled after the feet of Chuck Norris, and will give you an effective cruising speed of 40 clicks an hour... Your backpack: Matches in waterproof case, map, high-quality combat knife with a compass in the handle, first-aid kit, fully-charged headlight and a wide-mouthed 0.8 litre water bottle. Primary weapon, with ammo: Need something sturdy, dependable, and which I know how to do maintenance on. Something with enough punch to easily crack a zombie skull. I'll go for a H&K G3 AG3. 7 ammo clips, 30 shots each, for a total of 210, which is plenty as long as you keep it on semi-auto. Secondary weapon, with ammo: Glock 17 9mm. Dependable, effective and easy to service. I chose to shy away from a silencer, as it's a last resort weapon, and I would need to draw it quickly if a zombie is pulling on me. 2 ammo clips, 17 rounds each, for a total of 34 Meele weapon: Time to go flashy. Real deal, no-replica katana. It's light when on the move, and easily able to sewer a zombies head from its body. Sidekick: A Tamaskan dog, provided it was well trained enough not to start barking... Primary Weapon: 1980's M16 (or whatever era M16 the NG use now) Secondary Weapon: Beretta M9 (i think all US armed forces, even the Ng use it now) Melee Weapon: M7 Bayonette (also i could mount that on the Rifle right?) Sidekick: None, smaller the team, easier it is to sneak around, besides if the animal was bittne or something, I'd have to kill it and feel bad later. CrypticQuery
Ha, this sounds like good fun! Name: Crazyfooinc Location: The City (Generic, I know ) Base of operation: The abandoned tunnels beneath the city, specifically the ones underneath the old pillow factory Vehicles: A Category 1 MRAP Headgear: An M9 US Army Helmet Clothing upper body: Normal T-Shirt w/ basic bullet-resistant vest Clothing lower body: Cargo pants Footwear: A decent set of utility/work boots Your backpack: Fire-starting flint, hatchet, firearm cleaning tools, kitchen pot, a decent flashlight, and a map of the surrounding area Primary weapon, with ammo: A Ruger Mini-14; decent stopping power in a package lighter than the M14 . Semi-Automatic fire also helps to conserve ammo ^^. Secondary weapon, with ammo: Colt 1911; if it's held up for one-hundred years with little design change it should fit the bill fine. That, and the stopping power of a .45 is nice to have in reserve. Melee weapon: A US Army E-Tool (Doubles as a decent shovel and melee weapon; those serrated edges aren't just for show! ) Sidekick: A German Shepherd; loyal, obedient, and protective! Last words: *Rageface* FFFFFFUUUUUU-!!!
Matrilwood
Name: Reeve Matrilwood Location: Melbourne Australia. Base of operation: A couple of abandoned skyscrapers. Maybe use the prison as a fortress. Vehicles: With a flame-thrower and a cannon on the back. Headgear: One of those cool, high-tech eyepieces with built in motion tracking. Clothing: Samurai outfit. Footwear: Steel Boots. Your backpack: Mostly medical supplies or what ever I need for my mission. Primary weapon, with ammo: Ammo? I carry a broadsword. Secondary weapon: AK47, in a survival situation, it's all about reliability. You don't want your gun to jam up just because it's got a bit of dirt in the gears. Since I'd only ever really use it when I'm holding down a possition, I'd only carry a couple of magazines. The Logistics Master can take care of the rest (That's his job after all). Meele weapon: Since I only carry 1 gun, I guess I'd use the extra payload to carry an axe as a side arm. Sidekick: A bear Last words: (Who said I was gonna die?) Sabre
As serious as you desire. It indeed is. Best responce to your own death I've ever seen. I've not seen an arsehole quote the zombie survival guide/z day as gospel yet. I'm going to go for my stock answer in these situations. A bulletproof hat, a life jacket, and possably a stab vest and a pair of spiky gloves with the spikes on the palms. Why? I play the odds, and so would expect to be a zombie. The hat is so you can't shoot me in the head, the life jacket so you can't stop me with a moat/boat/island, a stab vest to stop you cutting me in half, and the spikey gloves so that when I grab you you cant shake me off so easy. Maybe wheels on my belt and legs so I can crawl faster maybe?

It was fun reading, but I disagree too much with parts of it.

Nope.
Name: Sergio Location: City of Cagliari. Base of operation: A cabin I made in the area in front of my house ( which has walls with metallic bars and stuff all around... so yeah, it's protected. The zombies wouldn't be able to get inside unless they can jump four/five meters in the air, open gates, or dig... in the asphalt or in the rocks ) Vehicles: A Fiat Oltre is fine for me. Headgear: Night vision googles. You never know what's crawling in the darkness. EDIT: Hell, now I want to make a TC Mod with Multiplayer Coop for Doom 3 or Quake 4 with ourselves as the characters. Or an RPG...
