DZComposer
I'm just curious as to everyone's status concerning ability to work on the site. I'm thinking about temporarily throwing up a CMS just to keep some resemblance of a site going while the real deal gets coded if it looks like it will be a while before we can get to work. I'll go ahead and throw up a thread in the site forum and see what the users want out of the site.
Mr. Krystal
I've been itching to get started on the rebuild for about a month!
DZComposer
What do we need for it? Should we use a CMS?
XG Fox
Milton had said something about integrating the forums into the site and making it share the same look... that would definitely help get rid of this horrid SubSilver if we came up with an awesome look to it. DZComposer
I definately want integration. That is why the CMS is starting to sound better and better. I am starting to look at Joomla. There is a plugin that allows it to read users tables for several forums, including phpbb. On the backend, I want the forums and site different. That way I can continue to keep phpbb up to date and if the site or forums go down, the other has a chance of not suffering the same fate. If we go CMS, I definately want a heavily customized theme, with a matching phpbb theme.
