Xortberg
Well, I'd love to argue with or against you on this but I don't know shit about our politics or anything like that right now. I'm totally lazy when it comes to following all that business. I tended to support Obama to spite all the ignorant rednecks back in school, if that counts. I was tempted to take a for or against position as well because playing devil's advocate is so much fun but I've decided to follow in your footsteps and be lazy about this as well. Heck I'm not even going to post an image macro about this issue... :/

"User"
i'm for Donald trump! at least HE knows how to budget! He pulled out of the race quite some time ago. I do admire his role as one of the heads of the birther movement though lol DZ, however, will be quite overjoyed to see that Governor Rick Perry of Texas is a strong candidate for the Oval Office! :-)

Sarita
i'm for Donald trump! at least HE knows how to budget! No he doesn't. He knows how to file for bankruptcy and still somehow manage to convince people to give him money. I don't think I want our country filing for bankruptcy to fix all its problems QUITE yet. Meanwhile, I think Obama has done a pretty good job of keeping his promises. So does the rest of the internet, apparently. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/obameter/
"User"
Looks like Sara drew first blood so I'm jumping into this one. No he doesn't. He knows how to file for bankruptcy and still somehow manage to convince people to give him money. I don't think I want our country filing for bankruptcy to fix all its problems QUITE yet. Nope. Instead, America will continue to borrow money that it doesn't have so technically it will never become bankrupt because countries like China have an addiction to U.S. debt. Plus, there's no "safer haven" in the world than U.S. treasuries. Meanwhile, I think Obama has done a pretty good job of keeping his promises. So does the rest of the internet, apparently. http://www.politifac...mises/obameter/ It's not about the # kept vs the # broken it's about what actually matters to Americans. Unemployment is still over 9%. Jobs aren't being created. Monetary policies from the Federal Reserve clearly haven't worked out (QE and QE2 come to mind) The majority of the American people think that Congress has got to hell hence why it's approval rating is below 20% (Obama's has recently went under 40% of for the first time). America is still involved in two wars (and added a third one in Libya) even though Obama claimed he would bring our troops home. To his credit though, he was in power when Osama Bin Laden was killed and he made a number of accomplishments right before the mid-term elections (including repealing Don't Ask Don't Tell) but again, these all pale in comparison to the #1 problem facing the people right now - the ecomony. All the most divided congress since the 1920's in the meantime can do is sling mud across the aisle at each other and nothing significant ends up being done. Also, to Obama's credit, he has refrained from a lot of the dirty tactics the GOP has been using against him - I hope he doesn't stoop to that level during the campaign. To me it's more about kicking everyone out of Congress and starting afresh, not necessarily a brand new president.
"User"
Just an FYI catswings budgets are determined by congress, not who the president is. Over the past 30 years (and you can look this up if you want) democrat held house of reps and senate have added more to the debt on a yearly basis compared with their GOP counterparts. People like to point the finger at bush for an increased debt but it was a democrat led congress that gave him the largest debt ceiling increases during his presidency. kkstarfox
I used to like to argue politics. When i was young and full of red rage. But in the end i realized any time you argue politics you are arguing with a wall. Suffice it to say, I will not be voting for Obama in 2012 and that's for damn sure. There are a number of reasons for that, just like when i didn't vote for him the first time. Yet, I suppose he will get reelected he'll convince people that he'll need another 4 years to fix bush's problems. Politics in America it seems is more about being reelected then solving problems. jesseboyd7
I just wish Obama would really wake up and smell the roses of the angry 46% American Citizens to really take action to serve the US Constitution. Take a look at this confrontation between Obama and some tea party people: http://www.usatoday.com/video/index.htm?bctid=1112008217001

To be honest one of the main reasons why I follow it so closely is because of all the tasty drama that usually comes along with it. In contrast Canadian politics isn't nearly as much fun. :(

Icy
I do keep up with politics quite a bit, but I just don't care all that much… I support Obama, because he hasn't done much but at least it appears as if he's trying. He has a lot of hate, though. I think he'll be re-elected anyway. ^^
