i said a i would be a melee bos but what you don't understand is that martins sword is prett much a light saber: un breakable, super sharp, and in in a melee with martins spirt with me nothing can stop me.

fate is untouchable

wanna bet? my magic is limited only by my imagination.... i can control fate at a whim. i can end time itself with a snap of a finger.

you do not want to fight me... i offer my hand in friendship again though, because being enemies is no fun cause that means one less person at the party

Actually Martin's sword was made from a lump of space rock that they forged in Salamandastron. it is very tough, but not unbreakable, it is quite old too but is probably still sharp. His spirit doesn't really affect it's combat skills however. So it's a nice blade but at the end of the day it's just that. Another blade.

The Blade has been confirmed un weatherable and able to break dimoned quite easly making it harder then any earthly substance. His spirt is a hella motavtor, not to mention having a negitive sicological effect to all enimies and his image being able to strick enimes awestruck

Maybe by their standards it can't be dented but if they can put it in a furnace to melt into into another shape, then it's far from indestructible. And seeing as you'd be fighting futuristic opponents whose weapons can melt the surface of a planet. The sword wouldn't be a viable solution alone. I suppose the enemies can't weld it curse can be useful to an extent though.

Not to but into your *ahem* "conversations", but Light sabers cant defelct bullets. thry melt. Second, light sabers acant deflect missiles, bombs Chmical weapons, or viruses. Just pointing that out.

^Awesome Matrilwood! Bravo! Qustion, wouldn't it be a bit hard to move if you're made of blades? Just wondering?

It's a skeleton dragon with swords instead of bones.

Also, these would be the themes of my followers if they were bosses. (Ok, most on this list would probably be my enemies, but still bad guys)

Termian (Genetically modified alien lifeform): Human form, he'd literally be unstoppable in ultimate form. In human form he's a guy with a 200 tentacles growing out of his back.

Without the vocals of course. (The F word is used a few times)

Fruuden (Human Brother): Would serve as the final boss in the other campaign so deserves to be fought as human and ultimate.

Human is an actual human with a longsword that glows.

Ultimate form is an angel with gold armor.

Icarus (Ceceran Flagship): The most heavily armed air-fortress in the world, fused with the soul of a dragon and you get to fight it, fun. Can't actually be destroyed but you could probably injure it enough to get past it.

so just a metal dragon that is sharp to the touch?

Basically the embodiment of metal as an element, metal is linked with destruction and indestructibility. So he can destroy things with his spirit and is almost impossible to harm. (Updated my post above you with other bosses)

I'm going to try a slightly different flavor of boss fight, more along the lines of a noire thriller than balls to the walls action.

It's dark, hovering somewhere around midnight. You tracked your target through the city, to the abandoned harbor, where the warehouses piers and decrepit machines stand still in a thick fog.

"You shouldn't have come after me." a grave, tired voice tells you.

You try to identify where the voice came from, but there's no echo, no direction; it's inside your head.

A bullet ricochets past your feet on the concrete, but there's no gunshot; a silencer. It's a final warning.

A chase / gunfight ensues. Think Assassin's Creed, but it is dark, visibility is more or less gone from the fog, and there are no people around you to assist you. I lead you on a chase where the hunter becomes the target, and the only way to eliminate me without falling prey to the traps I spring is to outwit me...

You catch me, and you finally land your killing blow. Something isn't right.

"You're in over your head, kid." the voice says in your head again, "And you have no idea why you were sent after me."

My body disappears; it was never there in the first place. You killed nothing.

You hear the tink of grenades that never go off. You hear gunshots without flashes. you hear footsteps without owners. It's all a distraction, an illusion to disorient you. You have to keep your wits about you and sort out the real from the fake, or you die. the equipment you brought with you, if you brought any, begins to give you false readings. You can't trust anything anymore. At times, you feel like you might be going insane. But you keep your head, and you dig the truth out of the illusions.

"Enough!"

You've been slammed against a wall, and I stand some paces ahead of you, winded and breathless. You didn't feel yourself get pushed though, it's almost as if...

I look up, and it's like my eyes are a pair of car headlights.

The illusions are gone, but I'm no less dangerous. I come straight at you instead with what seems like magic. one false move and you might be. This final part of the fight ends quickly one way or another: either you die in my final, supernatural onslaught, or you focus, and take what precious few precarious openings I leave you and land your kill.

I die quickly, and without much fanfare, like so many of your targets before. This one leaves you troubled however, and you begin to question your employer's motives.

That's my boss fight. I modeled the basic sequence more or less on how I handle issues/frustrations. As an example, It takes a lot to get under my skin and break my temper, but it's a frightening sight the tiny few times it happens.

Just to point something out, my boss fights would be based around spiritual combat, which means that you can't actually kill your opponent, just once their power level depletes they're at the mercy of the victor. Think of it like fighting with Mana instead of Health.
