I'm returning to college and moving into my new apartment first thing tomorrow morning. So when's everyone going back? And who's already back? This year my classes are going to be entirely involved in web design/web site building. There is a degree in web designing and it only takes one year to get, so by the end of my forth year not only will I have a bachelors degree in graphic communication/design, I will have a degree in web design as well. Starwing_93 Posted August 20, 2011 Share Posted August 20, 2011 Sorry to hear you didnt enjoy your first year dude I'll see what happens when it comes to accommodation, most halls of residence here are single rooms that are either around a central apartment or a corridor with a communal kitchen. Standards of living vary ALOT from cold breezeblock cell like rooms where 10 people share 2 bathrooms to self contained flats with 4 ensuite bedrooms, a modern kitchen and a living area with TV facilities. I'll see what happens, but living close means that I can easily move out and head home if dorm life isn't really for me. It's all a bit circumstancial really, it would be hard if I got roomed with a group of sports science students that only ever play sports games and watch soccer, but I could also end up living with really down to earth people that share my interests, it's I guess it's impossible to tell for now... No job in that field yet. My town is tight and most companies looking for experienced or certified people in IT. I'm looking forward not to go to school again. Would most likely self-educate myself in computers. Pretty much the 2 year degree was worthless in my opinion. grr... $11,000 in debt. At least I didn't go for a 4 year degree or more in computer science. I would most likely be more in debt. Advice for all college students or people who are thinking to go to college >> DON'T TAKE ANY STUDENT LOANS FROM FASFA OR SOME OTHER LOAN PROGRAM!!! You will be in debt fast! Gotta go all out this year and make it a good one! On a side note I don't even have to go shopping for supplies this year. I still have supplies from two years ago I'm going off of.
