The Confrontation

Cupelo was hardly phased by the cyborg's display of ruthless pride.

"Cute toys..." He said with a nod, quickly noting the tiger's several augmentations, including the hiss of a pressurized canister on his leg.

With a swift fling of his wrist, Cupelo shot a cloud of powdery white dust at the cyborg feline's face, and the cloud detonated in a blinding, deafening Bang that should ring in his ears and dazzle his eyes for several seconds after. The fox sprinted down the tunnel, firing another EM shot at a nearby switchbox, killing all the lights in the area. He continued on, following the electrical mainline...

she started to hear the commotion and was curious to know what it was. she was tempted to have a look but she knew it could be a trap.

"im tempted to go back and see what all the commotion is about." she said

Dave and Stacker stood there, watching the two in the distance.

They saw a Grayish Vulpine throw some kind of White powder, possibly some sort refined Chaff or what not.

"Come on, thats Fissure!," Dave daid as he leveld his shotgun and started jogging towards the fight,"Time to rumble!"

Stacker un-magnetized his P90 and unclicked the safety,"Now you;re speaking my language!", the bluish Vulpine replied, a toothy grin forming on his features as he followed.

The duo got close and closer, but didn't risk firing, so they would have the slight element of surprise.

This going to be good..., he thought to himself, smirking as he and Dave continued to run.

"It's not a good time to go back," Alex said. "However there is a way of helping him."

"My ship has something we could use to get them out of there." He hands her a Ear Phone.

"I'll be back." And walks away.

she inserts the earphone and waits, getting more and more desprate to help by the second. she finnally couldnt stand it and prepped her gun for combat

"he said he'll be back. but in the mean time, i think i might have a little fun of my own" she said as she approached the ladder to where they first escaped and soon was climbing down, ready for anything that was waiting down there for her.

"i promised never to leave a man behind, and this is no excuse to do so. i just hope he's alright..........and i hope i can actually fight, failure and getting captured is not an option" she thought to herself, holding her gun in her hand as she neared the bottom

Progressing to his ship, Alex unlock it and looks around for what he needed.

It was hidden in one of his smuggling cabinets, a 5 pound brick of Metallic Sodium. Not a lot but just enough for this kind of operation.

Alex calls into his mic "Star I have found what I needed, I'll be over at the abandoned building I need time to prepare."

"Yes, they are nice, especially for killing resistance like y-" White powder blasted in fissure's face and exploded a second later. Breifly blinding and deafening him. "Fucker, now I can't see or hear. Oh, wait, yes, I can see. You got me on hearing, though. You slimy resistance bastards are getting creative." The world came back into focus. Now all the lights had switched off, and the world was dark.

"You can't run! We'll find you!"

(I won't be able to post again for another three hours or so. Keep that in mind.)

Alex sits at a somewhat sturdy desk that was left in the building. He takes out his pocketknife and starts cutting off small pieces and putting them into a small bag.

"Hmm better be away when this gets wet!" he says laughing and heads to the mall once again.

"i read ya Alex, but im kinda buisy right now" she said as she put on a pair of sunglasses meant for things like pitch black darkness like this, she had switched to night vision mode soon enough. she soon got off the ladder and stepped onto the ground below.

"so far so go-" she was cut off by her pocket knife dropping out of her pocket and making a loud noise that sounded like a metal pipe had just been angrily thrown to the ground. as the sound echoed, she, in her mind, freaked out.

"SHIT! I HAD TO DROP THE KNIFE!" she screamed in her mind

Nick sat next to his ship, located in hidden resistance territory. He had an underground hanger that was part of an old Cornerian Defense Post. It looked to be abandoned for years, but one of the hangers he retrofitted over an old nuclear launch silo. The Silo was masked as a house that could move side to side and show the silo in its full form. It took about a good 30 seconds, just about the time for the platform to raise the ship to the upper level.

He heard the broadcasted message and a red light soon flashed in his hanger. "Look's like it's time to go to work Sarah" He stated with a chuckle, as he got up from his chair and stepped into his ship. The ship soon buzzed to life. Its consoles hummed and lit up, a woman's voice soon broadcasted. "Time for another run Nick?"

Nick smiled and nodded. "That would be a yes Sarah. We need to head to Sector 47 Grid A-1-B3" The computer soon spoke back. "Affirmative, plotting course Nick." The doors of his hanger soon rose, and his ship began to power on its engines.

Alex walked around the mall for the right place to put his bag of Metallic Sodium. "There." he said placing the bag in a trash can. He thinks for a second

"What's with me and trash today?" Putting the bag and taking out a match.

He walked a bit away and lit the match. Letting the smoke up to the sprinkler on the ceiling. Water spurted out all over this side of the Mall.

Alex ran as fast as he could, stopped and turned. "3 ... 2 ... 1" *BANG!* The Sodium exploded and he continued running.

"The only way to distract guards of a threat is to make a bigger threat." The thought, and ran

The house above began its shift to the side and soon his ship appeared. "Let's rock and roll Sarah" His ship blasted off and headed towards the resistance. "Sarah bring up the sensors and give me a holo-grid of the area. Cross the area with known resistance and government supporters. Alright let's see, we have 3 resistance being chased by 2 military and 1 Augmented individual. he thought to himself.

"Sarah give me full frequencies with the resistance comms, rotating bandwidth and encrypted frequencies." Sarah soon responded. "Already done Nick, you have full comms."

Nick coughed a bit and soon spoke. "Attention resistance members, This is your friendly Eye in the sky, You can call me savior. This is a secure frequency on a rotating and encrypted channel. I am tracking 2 of you above the tunnels and 1 in the sewer pipes. I have set up an LZ approximately outside the sewer tunnel system and to the left near a warehouse. You have about 1 minute before I have the military up my tail and I am going to have to head out and you guys will be on your own until I can make another run." he paused. "Clock is ticking ladies and gentleman."

Nick soon set down next to the warehouse and engaged stealth mode. He watched his watch closely.

"Lost him. Male canine headed through the sewers. Going to attempt pursuit on the two that are headed to the surface." Fissure said, as he glanced at the ceiling, looking for a way out of the sewers. There was a hatch to his right.

Fissure looked around. The mall lay a short ways to his left, and to his right-

A loud crack exploded from the mall. "A bomb has gone off in the mall, repeat, a bomb has gone off in the mall! Going to try to I.D. the bomber." Fissure sat down on a nearby hill and tapped into the mall's security tapes through a wireless connection. He began to flip through the most recent recordings, eventually finding the one that was focused on the explosion. Rewinding, he discovered the bomb had exploded from a trash can. Wait...there. A lupine drops a brown paper bag into the trash can and lights a match, fleeing the scene.

"Bomber I.D'd. Grey and black lupine, headed towards the east entrance of the mall. One of the two I was pursuing earlier, which must mean that the pair have split up. I'm too far away to track down the wolf, but I can go after the vulpine." Fissure went to change to a thermal filter, but his vision blacked out. Gah, that powder must have damaged my visual receptors. Going to have to do this the hard way.

Sanford's men had picked up Fissure's alert broadcast and began to head to the location specified, when Sanford interrupted. "Wait, this seems like another distraction by that fox who attacked us earlier, he's probably not even there anymore. We should head to the location that Fissure saw that Fox is going before we leave without thinking." The four of them headed towards Cupelo's last known location, not knowing that the power had been cut off in the tunnels."

Cupelo heard Fissure's heavy footfalls as the cyborg pursued, and muttered to himself.

The EM blaster might not be enough to knock out the cyborg's systems, but there are other ways. The electrical mainline soon led to a large trash can sized humming cylinder with several cables leading into/out of it; a distribution transformer, but it was too far away. This was a gamble he had to make...

"What's the matter, kitty?" He called out in a smug, taunting voice. "You're not afraid of the dark, are you?"

Just then, another shot rang out in the darkness; this was unexpected.

He knew that voice, that same foolish girl he tired to lead out of danger. What the h&ll was she doing back here?! On top of all this, the sound of the bumbling mercenaries quickly joined in some ways away.

This changed things, and Cupelo waited patiently for the next move.

Nick watched his watch and the minute mark passed. "Haha the resistance is always the same, I thought that would help them speed up." He remarked to his ship's AI.

"Sarah keep an eye on the scanners and let me know when people are near. We don't want to be found out just yet." he remarked hoping that the resistance would be safe.

An explosion of light flooded the room, followed immediately by a spike of pain in fissure's shoulderblade. "Who the hell...?" The vixen spoke, giving herself away. "There you are. I've been looking for you. That hurt, by the way. Girly should learn to shoot better. Now, on to buiseness. Would you rather be impaled or just shot? It really is your choice." Fissure switched on his headlamp, glancing around in the harsh, blue beam. The vixen was nowhere to be seen. "Nope, running can't save you. You may have the visual advantage but you can't shoot worth shit." He extended a long, electrified blade from his arm. It arced across the wet floor sending erratic shadows flying.

"ah that may be true, but kitty cant see nor fight worth shit either. and that was pain at it's finest, i hope you enjoyed the program" she said with a smirk on her face, knowing he couldn't see her. she launched a pocket knife straight at him, hoping to hit her target.
