Guest
Hello fellow SF-O members and guests alike. Well this particular topic consists of the sport called Geocaching. "what is it" some may ask, well Geocaching is a real-world, outdoor treasure hunting game using GPS-enabled devices. Participants navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find the geocache (container) hidden at that location. Now I am aware that the geocaching players range is estimated 3-4 million because some people cache under a team account and may not be registered. It also includes the 347 personalities that are listed as "bittsen", but im wondering how many of you guys do this. you can post if you liked it or not, post how many you have found, mabey even post some good tips and hints on where to find some for others to read. Sabre
I read about it, was interested, but the way it's handled and the cost of entry (needing a GPS device for one) crushed it.
FoxMcCloud
Geo caching has been pretty fun for the times that I have gone. I usually run an app on my smartphone to pinpoint the GPS locations, sometimes the cache owner will require you to solve a puzzle or quiz before they give you the coordinates to the actual location of the Geo cache. cats
I've done this before and it was pretty fun. Unfortunately, I no longer live in a location that is very conducive to geocaching. I'd certainly do it again given the chance. :ÂD
