LoneWolf
I'd definitely consider myself a furry; I enjoy the art, I have several fursonas to RP with, and I'd have no problem wearing a fursuit if I had the time, money, and/or desire to; it's just a glorified mascot costume after all. Hey, cool, I'm not the only one who would wear a fursuit here. That is, if it was well done and unique.

Star Fox Runner
I can honestly say that it was because of this forum that I became a furry in the first place. I've always loved Star Fox, but until I joined here I didn't even know what a furry was. I checked out the fandom, I liked what I saw, I learned to overlook the pornographic side of the fandom, and I've considered myself a furry ever since. I wouldn't consider doing fursuiting though. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, it's just not my thing. Besides, I'm certain that a lot of love goes into making those things. kkstarfox
Star Fox making people furry, imagine that. There was a picture i saw once that said, "Don't worry dude. Everyone is furry for Krystal." Her and renamon are probably some of the biggest furry conversion factors, lmao.
myu
I've always wondered about that. I understand Krystal, I guess, but Renamon?

Xortberg
I've always wondered about that. I understand Krystal, I guess, but Renamon? Renamon has a humanoid shape and is, unlike Krystal, a kick-ass action girl type character with actual depth and such. Plus, Krystal has a freakishly large head. I can see people getting boners over her much easier than for Krystal. That said, it still pisses me off that Renamon is a furry sex symbol. She's way too badass for that. LoneWolf
I've always wondered about that. I understand Krystal, I guess, but Renamon? Dunno. Yellow and purple are contrasting colors, and her build is interesting, not to mention she's from Digimon, but still, I don't get it.

Drasiana
The weird part is Renamon doesn't actually even have boobs
Milkyway64
Eh, that doesn't really mean a whole lot. You can become attached to characters for reasons not relating to tits or dongs. It's either that, or once you're furry enough to like Renamon in the first place, your standards have hit rock bottom. :troll:

Milkyway64
Okay. What'd that do for me? I don't really care what fanart does to her as that doesn't have a big foothold in furry conversion, as almost any of those types would see normal Renamon first. Drasiana
That sure hasn't stopped her from becoming a furry sex symbol, has it. I was saying it was goofy how she became such a huge furry sex symbol despite being not particularly sexual-looking at all, unlike Krystal She's not in that position because everyone's in love with her personality, otherwise Krystal wouldn't be on the same fandom tier as her
Psygonis
I don't understand it either. I mean... Just look at the character, it's not really appealing at all! Weird tastes are weird...
Zzz
You know what? Renamon is actually MALE in the german dub. I shit you not. That's why I was so surprised when I saw so many "female" version of that creature.
Xortberg
Actually, Digimon don't have genders, since they're data. So yeah.

Said fanart has a lot to do with it, but that only comes after the whole furry discovery thing, I think. While not quite in that tier, I think Sabrina has the same deal going on contrasted to Zig Zag.
Zzz
Actually, Digimon don't have genders, since they're data. So yeah. True, tho you can't deny some Digimon have rather male OR female personalities. And it never felt strange that they gave Renamon a male voice. The physique remined me to much of a kangeroo than a female human. Much like Mewtwo, you know?

While not quite in that tier, I think Sabrina has the same deal going on contrasted to Zig Zag. That doesn't even make any sense. People saw Renamon and thought "hey, that would look great with gigantic boobs and a pregnancy fetish". It wasn't a case of "wow, what a strong female character, I really appreciate what her strength of character does for this show and female characters like her" that went horribly awry after finding porn of Disney's Robin Hood. And then, where did that Robin Hood porn come from? I don't think Disney designed him or Maid Marian as sex symbols, either. Furries don't care if they can fap to it. Basically what I'm saying here is the copious, disturbing amounts of Renamon porn don't exactly back the theory that the fandom loves her for her personality...regardless of whether or not she's a better character than Krystal (she is) And I'm not entirely sure why you brought up Zig Zag, considering she owns a porn studio and probably isn't the best example to use to compare to characters from children's media. myu
Dras is right. Someone had to have looked at Renamon and thought, "Hey she's kind of hot" (or whatever goes through someone's mind before they start drawing pin up and porn of a character.) I don't think you take a strong character like that and demean her by drawing her in provocative positions without liking how they look to begin with. Although, that might just be my opinion. But I wouldn't draw porn of a character that I didn't find physically appealing in some way.
