Icy
Am I the only one who gets quite annoyed at the wait time between messages in the shoutbox? I type pretty fast, though…so? I mean, is there some reason the wait time is so long? Is it because people were spamming it before, or just for bandwidth or something? Just wondering, I'm not raging. ;)
Xortberg
It annoys me as well, when I decide to talk in the shoutbox. Which admittedly isn't very much, but yeah. I dun like it.
The Shaper
I post in the shoutbox quite often and it never bothers me. I can usually wait 3 or 4 seconds between posts. I mean, the shout is almost certainly going to be there when they finish with what they are up to anyway so there is no rush. If it is something important, then a PM will suit the situation better then a shout.
Scott7
I rarely pop in it as much anymore, but i do agree it can get annoying x_x
Deploy
Should be at least shortened dramatically.

Icy
I'd just like it to be lowered a little. It's apparently 10 seconds at the moment. I'd be happy with 5.
DZComposer
It uses significant server resources compared to just the forums. The shoutbox is not meant to be 100% real-time. But if it bothers you so much, you can always manually refresh it by clicking the refresh button. If I made it refresh every second, then it refreshes once per second for every person viewing the forum main page, whether they are currently using the shoutbox or not. It is currently set at 15 second refresh. I'll lower it to 10 seconds, but no lower.

I think they meant the shout flooding, i.e you can't make two posts after each other (spelling mistake or forgotten info)

DZComposer
I didn't even realize there was a flood limit on it. Lowered it to 1 second. If you guys abuse this, I WILL put it back to 10 secs, so don't flood the shoutbox, m'kay?.

jesseboyd7
Yeah. It drives me nuts when it duplicates 5 times after entering in the shout out once. Do bugs have anything to do with shout out DZComposer?
Icy
Oh, I forgot to check this topic. Thanks, DZ. It's fine now. :)
