Mr. Krystal
did you know that barely any of america's funding goes towards schooling and science, but mostly goes towards military? False. Health care programes, pensions, and welfare (collectively, transferring money, goods, and services from some to others) makes up 56% of the American Federal Government spending. Defense (armies, wars themselves) only makes up 24% of the Federal Spending. Hilariously, education, with 4% of the spending pie gets 4 times more money than actual government (making laws, running courts) and is one of the largest single items the federal government funds. source Did you know that observing someone through binoculars without their permission is illegal? Depends on the state. Did you know its not the President's fault if the country goes into disarray? Its actually CONRESS's fault since they are the supreme law of the mand. The PODUS is just a figure head for the general public and the head of the US Army. Otherwise he has no purpose. The President has FAR more power than that, though he shouldn't. The President sets country policy, which causes certain laws to trend into existence and be passed more than others. The President has veto power to prevent some law from getting enacted. The President often sponsors legislation, and has a major say in how it is crafted. With more recent Presidents, they have chosen to enact legislation by fiat (basically by dictating it). Clinton and Bush did it in response to acts of war. Obama did it and continues to do it largely to get reelected we think (doesn't really make much sense). Presidents can, through policy, dictate some parts of law that will simply be ignored (the law is there, but they direct courts to largely act as if it isn't). Through various administrations and cabinet members, the President can direct long-reaching organizations like the TSA, Homeland Security, the FDA, and the IRS to create new laws from no-where because Congress incorrectly gave them the power to do so. Finally, Obama has stepped in and interfered directly with contract law, where he voided the contracts held by General Motors stockholders. This is one of the primary reasons that the country isn't doing too well: companies are afraid to operate at normal capacity because Obama has shown that he can and will arbitrarily change the rules by which businesses can operate. The Presidential office SHOULD merely be one of a figurehead who helps negotiate treaties and can veto laws, but that's sadly not the case today. Did you know: Nuclear power generation is the safest form of energy production known to man.

Prince Elite
Did you know: If you yelled for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days, you would have produced enough sound energy to heat one cup of coffee.
Ori
Did you know that during the filming of the early Star Wars movies, lightsabers were simply white bars? Did you know that Alésia Glidewell, known for being the facemap of Chell in Portal 2, also voiced Krystal in Star Fox Assault? Did you know that if one could travel at the speed of light or at FTL, they would experience time slower than people at normal speeds? (I heard somewhere that this is seen at slower deterioration on particles traveling near the speed of light than the ones traveling at normal speeds.) Did you know that NASA has begun research of near-lightspeed warp technologies? ("-Yes, a Warp Drive, Scotty.")

Kurt
The M16 will do more damage than pretty much any 5.56x45mm NATO rifle out there, due to something in it's design almost guaranteeing bullet cavitation (where the round tumbles inside the body), which lead to the discovery of the effect full sale, and the rendering illegal any weapon designed to cause that effect purposefully (The M16 was excluded from this because it was not designed to do this, but just happened to). The AN-94, with the right optics, ammunition, and a bit of luck, has an effective range around 750 meters, which is 3/4 the max range of the 7.62x51mm NATO. Quite impressive for a 5.45x39mmR round. While it is true about the M16, in Vietnam it performed poorley against the AK-47. It was so despised that unless they had no choice, VC would not pick up the M16 while looting bodies. Also, I can't rember who told me this, but he is a friend of my uncle and both were in Vietnam. Told me that the aluminium parts could rust from the sweat on your hands. That's part of the reason I'm not big on the M4 M16 series, but I love the new M8. Its H&K, can't go wrong with an H&K.
Vy'drach
Oh believe me, I have no love for the AR platform, unless it has a gas piston, due to the many shortcomings, but that's neither here nor there. What is, however, is the last post was almost three years ago, which would be dredging up an old topic, which you shouldn't do.
