"User"
I've brought this up already with you DZ but "buying" bank accounts (and losing the money that you bought them with) doesn't make any sense and as such you might as well just keep the cash on hand (since the APR rates are so low). I can understand if that was the minimum deposit that must be maintained in the account but since that's impossible with this mod as you pointed out I'd suggest bringing down the cost of having your own bank account by a considerable margin. Psygonis
5% (in the Lylat Bank) is already a considerable interest rate. It costs a lot to get in, and some to withdraw too, but I believe this is what investment means...

I was referring more to the other three banks instead of the Lylat Bank (which is much more reasonable IMO) although, right now, unless you're a fat cat than losing $1000 to open a bank account with LB just isn't worth it. Harmony Descent
Just curious, but is there a way to have it hidden on our web browsers? I'm not sure I want to be seeing it on the sides since I think there's enough on the main page as it is. I mean, it's my opinion and all, but I'm just curious if we can hide it. Xortberg
Are you talking about the top ten richest members thing on the front page? If so, there should be a little X near the top.
Fluxy
The only thing I was interested in was the custom title change, really. And well, I just am not a big fan of this really in general being on the site, as it seems to be, well, for lack of a better word in my mind bank, an eye sore. Sure, if it is moderated, it'll probably be a good thing, or I more than likely just need to warm up to it. But either way, I do like and respect the work put into this all, as it is a very innovative way to increase activity!; Just need more time to have a better opinion on the subject myself. :

Harmony Descent
You have to hover your mouse in the box title for the x to show. I have and nothing shows. I may try after I get home from college since my internet browser might be lagging a bit. I've tried hovering it over the boxes and nothing had shown up, so I'm just guessing it's my browser. If not, I'll let you know.

Psygonis
It's free for a checking account (that is useless in this virtual economy), but not for a savings account. It used to cost 1000¢¢ and now it is 150¢¢.

Nope I opened a savings account and I thought it cost 150¢¢ too (that's even what it said) but there must be some sort of glitch as I was not charged for opening it. :? jesseboyd7
All of this sounds good for the beginning phase of the virtual SFOConomy. Checking, Savings, Loans, Stocks, lottery, shopping for goods. But the Bank of Lylat, sounds more like the Central Bank of Lylat (one of Andross's Chairman in control?)! And Corneria City bank is more like typical local bank to me (the good healthy banks). The stock market is fun to play with. I noticed a couple of the stock values has increased lately. (SELL! SELL! SELL!) I personally haven't opened a bank account yet. I Personally don't trust the Bank of Lylat (future bank run? ). I would go for the smaller bank of Corneria City. But I started buying a stock! lol! It goes by 24 hours, so if you bought it at 6:00 PM, you'll be able to buy another one at 6:00 PM.
