The good alternative to plain beer is the Monaco (2/3 of beer, 1/3 of limonade with some syrup, usually strawberry, but works admirably with others such as ginger or peach). You also have naturally-flavored beers like the classic cherry Kriek or the Cider-beer Strongbow.

Don't you use your fancy alcomoholics to muddle the issue!

Sorry, had to.

I don't take any form of illegal narcotics or smoke tobacco, but I do drink alcohol from time to time. Have not been drunk, however. Light buzz at the worst, and that was on my 21st birthday.

I generally only drink alcohol when doing yard-work as alcohol thins the blood and allows you to dissipate heat better, thus I drink a "Screwdriver" (Orange juice and vodka) to cool down, not get wasted.

I did not know that, but that sounds quite practical.

Not a fan of beers myself. I dislike the bitter taste (though I am getting more tolerant to it), I prefer sweet tastes, or more like hard liquor. Bourbon, whiskey, vodka (my alcohol of choice, personally), etc. etc.

I share similar tastes. Beer I'm not fully used to yet (ditto with wine) and I'm more of a fan of mixing drinks and drinking all different sorts of liquor and distilled beverages.

There are beers that feel like a sledgehammer to the tongue, I really don't like those kind of beers. That's one of the reasons I really like Guinness, it's got the rich body and deep flavor of the darker beers, but it's not all that bitter, and drinks nice and smooth.

Beers where I live tend to be, compared to the world, very thin and watery (A couple of friends are enough to go through a box of 24). Not the one to drink as a connosieur, but refreshing and nice indeed.

That sounds quite interesting brands :D (BTW, Fruit beers aren't girly as many think. King Tut drank them)

I drink, I love my fruity girly drinks and beer is fine but I can't drink enough of it to get drunk, and wine makes me sneeze.

Weed is probably more harmless than alcohol, I don't mind it all though my experience is limited. I'd rather hang out with chill stoners than violent drunks, so...

I want to "learn to like" wine by December (Traveling to Chile and Argentina; AKA Wine havens)

That's what has me curious about MJ. Seems very amusing and the fact it's not as addictive as other stuff. Sometimes I don't get why it's so taboo...

Have fun! I'm okay with some American wines but honestly most anything else will end in me having a sneezing fit. It's weird.

As far as pot goes, from what I gather its illegal status comes more from a trade reason, not a health reason. It isn't addictive (outside mentally, which frankly you can become mentally addicted to anything) and has actual medicinal purposes. Out of cigarettes, alcohol and pot I really think the latter probably has the least number of adverse effects, and even benefits. I don't even really "do" it and I think the whole stigma surrounding it is silly.

I've done none of these things. I'm too young to drink and I don't think I will and as for smoking, my family has a bad health history and I don't want it happening to me.

You'd be correct on that, as any doctor would tell you.

It's a trade issue because the government doesn't make any money off the sale of weed in the forum of taxes - if they legalized it and put in an effective tax system they'd be able to get a good chunk of money out of it as well as solve other problems (like other types of crime) that often gets involved in the trade of contraband.

I have no interest in alcohol, I've tried a sip of alot of different kinds and i dont mind trying just a sip of stuff, but for the most part, I don't like the taste or the effects on your body so I don't drink it.

Smoking is a huge no for me -_-; my dad has even said he would kill me if i started, because he used to smoke and he knows what it's like

Weed- I really, truely have no problem with weed whatsoever. It's a hell of a lot better for you than smoking or or drinking, and it sounds like it would be fun. It's of course illegal here, and there are certain ppl I care about very much that would be upset if i tried it, so for those two reasons I haven't. And because of my anxiety I steer clear of anything mood altering, which is another reason I stay away from it. So, I don't think I would ever do it, but I don't condemn the people that do.

Gotta be careful with weed, Fira. People will lace it with a lot of stuff, however. From PCP to rat poison.

That's why you get the good stuff and not cheap $5 a gram crap. :P

Also, that advice applies to tobacco and alcohol as well, especially if you go to a native reserve and try to get tax-free smokes - you'd be surprised at what goes into that stuff as government investigations have found. :o

That's why you should only buy it on legal stores and not on the street.

Basically, all that User said.

There are no legal stores in America. Not without fraudulent prescriptions. Otherwise you get it from a dealer on the street, or your friends who grow it.

Well, damn, I thought I wasn't the only one on here that smoked lol Oh well, guess some things aren't meant to be :U Most people find it a turn-off, but I'm at that stage where I don't care what others think (It'll pass sooner or later)

Drinking -- my brothers have offered it to me, I've tried several others with different flavors to them, but I've never gotten fully hammered. I've had a buzz or two, but nothing serious.

Weed -- never seen it with my own eyes, nor have I touched it. I've seen it on tv/internet plenty of times, but not the first time in person.

Even though you have a real valid point, I disagree with the propaganda. Everyone knows that water's obviously better, but we all have the right to choose what we want to consume.

Plus, I know people who their "healthy" lifestyles does disasters to their way of thinking and their personalities.

And call me crazy, but I dislike the taste of water, and water fails to quench my thirst unless I drink gratuitous amounts, which then makes me nauseous.

Instead, my thirst quenching drink of choice is:

lol at abstinence snobbery

Dude I don't care if you don't like alcohol but you're not superior to everyone who does. Having the occasional vodka cooler doesn't make me a brain-damaged lecherous alcoholic, it means I sometimes drink vodka coolers and live to tell the tale (without destroying my family or getting arrested wow)

It also doesn't mean I never drink water

@Vy: One word: electrolytes. Water doesn't have them :B

It's hard to transmit sarcasm though the Webz. Italics only work on a small sentence and It looked like you meant it.

Anyone who says water is better than alcohol is underage or clearly has never tried a good cuba libre, screwdriver, or other mixed drink. :)
