Guest Mr. N
(I figured this topic went to the Arcade since it wouldn't have some purposes in the SF-O online server unless I am mistaken.) As Valve is coming up with more strange weapons, more hats and who-knows-what, there's probably an idea in your head for a something (A new hat, weapon, whatever you can think). If you got some ideas, share them here. (You can have many ideas as you want, be sure to include criticism and some compliments on someone's idea if you're reviewing them.) Here are my ideas: As I mentioned in the Shoutbox some time ago, I thought it would be nice to have characters wearing jackets in the game. For what reason is I think not only it would be as cool as hats, it would even go with hats without the need of ever making a custom skin for the classes. Example: How about the 'King of Rock N Roll', Evlis' jacket for the Heavy? Now Heavy can be a Hound Dog and crush baby men!! Also: Francis' vest from L4D1 (For all classes) As if Bill's Hat isn't enough to thank you for purchasing L4D1, this should be included too...and who knows, maybe the L4D1 traffic may come back soon... Xortberg
The Soldier needs to be able to dress up like Megaman and turn the Cow Mangler into an arm cannon. I would pay so much money for that.

Hmm...it sounds pretty nice, it even especially goes well with this Megaman X4 Cow-Mangler laser sounds for the weapon http://www.gamebanana.com/sounds/15745
Scourge
The only problem i see with this the the fact that: Each class is designed and modled to be able to be recognized for what it is at a first glance, and knowing valve they'd find a way to make all the characters look so f*cked up retarted to the point we'd lose all comprehensability as to which class is which, especially if they keep tossing in weapons that dont make much sense. Other than that, nice idea.

Other than that, nice idea. Came in to post this. Too much customization will just clutter the game and make characters harder to recognize. Miscs and hats are fine. That said, I've always wanted a medigun that couldn't uber but had more overheal on it. It'd probably be OP though.
Dr. Orange
Me like this idea. An idea I had for awhile is some versions of Elton John crazy eye ware.
Vy'drach
Likely a mod for the Summer Shades for those, or at least there could be one. As far as my ideas for TF2: Nnerf the offensive capabilities of the stickybomb launcher (make the grenades do less damage until a second or two after they are deployed, so that the freaking thing is not the most one-sided offensive weapon in that game). ALL OF MY RAGE, STICKYSPAMMERS, ALL OF MY RAGE! Remove the Sydney Sleeper and that damned "I can't die to a better sniper then me" set. Do not give people weapons that encourage them to play worse, give them weapons that encourage them to play better. Also, new grenade launcher for demomen, does less damage vs. players (or just smaller splash damage), but can distract sentries (such as in the "Meet the Demoman" video. Should also have 6 shots in it instead of 4, especially given the default launcher has 6 chambers. This idea would obviously need some tweaking, but it's definitely workable. Milkyway64
Sentry guns are already countered by enough things, let's please not make the engie even worse. ;_;

Vy'drach
Second most hated thing in the game for me, next to sticky spam. Just a bad gun used to teach people how not to snipe well.
Milkyway64
Yet it still serves its purpose as a rifle not meant for 1337 shots and helping less than pro snipers be a real impact on the other team. You know, like Dead Ringer is but Sydney Sleeper still keeps the class's idea in mind; shooting at things from a long way away.
Vy'drach
They're not quite the same, however, as I've seen the Dead Ringer used to do things that the default cloak can not do. At the very least it can instill severe paranoia when the spy gets away due to it. I know you hate the Dead Ringer, but not every spy uses it for pure "lolbattlespy." When you have a spy being sneaky and using it for survivability, it can be a scary thing indeed. The Sleeper, however, will fail in every way except one to the other rifles, and that is pissing people off. Headshots will out perform the Sleeper any day of the week and twice on Sunday. And it does not take long to get competent with a sniper rifle to perform headshots, half an hour on bot mode, and FYI, in my experience as someone who apologizes for every bodyshot kill I make, the bots are much harder to headshot than players, due to the bots moving so erratically. I am saddened when I see a team mate use the thing, and the sound of it firing is like finger nails on a chalkboard to me. I would rather die in the game than be saved by someone shooting my would-be killer with a Sydney Sleeper. A better comparison for the Dead Ringer, btw, is the Backburner or Machina. Generally used by scrubs in scrub ways, giving them bad reputations, but when used well, become not "noob" items, but situational items. Most people just W+M1 rush with the BB, but a pyro that takes the extra time and effort to flank, or get into a good ambush location, will do things that the default flamethrower or degreaser can not do, such as taking out three medics and two heavies in ten seconds flat. Oh, and speaking of Backburner, they are removing the extra 10% damage. Anyway, the Machina, at first glance, a bodyshotter's rifle. When used right, however, it is the premiere headshot rifle, capable of taking out two (or more) targets with a single shot (I love taking out the medic AND the heavy with a single round, or blowing the brains out of an engineer and destroying the dispenser he was working on), or for guaranteeing a headshot, such as preventing someone from jumping in at the last second and blocking the shot, thus saving your intended headshot victim. The Shitney Sleeper, however, has no such effective use, it will always be out classed by the other snipers except at helping bad people get skill-less kills, no offense, Xort. The only possible reason to use it over the other snipers is because you can not shoot well, and need something a lobotomized, crosseyed baboon could use, or you lag too much to shoot well. Either way, same meaning, it's a crutch weapon, a bad rifle for bad snipers.
ballisticwaffles
I would recommend they start throwing in hats for every single game. EVERY SINGLE GAME. Dawn of war? Space marine helmet for the Heavy Total war series? Centurion helmet for the engineer. Borderlands? Psycho mask for the Pyro. AVP? Both a Facehugger and Predator mask for EVery class. Sins of a solar Empire? Absolutly nothign because noone plays that game anymore. :P
