Dr. Orange
A good and fun question to ask is: Which was the better Captain? James T. Kirk or Jean-Luc Picard? If you don't know who either of them are, here's some help. Think Star Trek. KirkSmart when it comes to battle techniquesA quick and sometimes hasty decisions that got him out of tough situations. Down side: Cheated on the Kobayashi Maru (A "no-win" Test) test by cheating and hacking the computer. PicardHas both wisdom and many years of experience with the Federation.Even though he's in his (guess) late 50's, he can still kick ass. Down side: Anger Issues. When he's mad, back off before he loses it.
Guest Mr. N
Although I grew up with 'The Next Generation', I kinda like Kirk more than Picard.
chaos_Leader
And you're gonna make us choose? If you asked me a few years ago, I probably would've said Picard, but I was really, really impressed with Chris Pine's Kirk from the new Star Trek, and now I can't really go one way or the other without feeling bad. I think he's referring to William Shatner and not Chris Pine. I admire both Kirk and Picard highly and it's very difficult to choose. :/

Vulvokunvrii
He was around longer, he was quite humourous, and overall a better Captain. In my opinion. He's just so darn awesome!
CrypticQuery
No matter what anyone says, you can't beat Shatner; he was Captain of the Starship Enterprise, the Priceline Negotiator, and even had a sweet hairpiece!

Vy'drach
I tried to, but I just could not get into The Next Generation. Nothing against Picard, but he's held down by his crew. So my vote is James Tiberius Kirk. I can't think of an original Star Trek episode I don't like (except maybe the pilot, but even that's alright), and it was so ahead of its time, too. El Zorro de la Estrella
Patrick Stewart is THE MAN... But, come on, you can't vote against Shatner!
