CrypticQuery
Advertising is a quintessential element in most industries, but especially Video Gaming. Some ads have been more memorable than others, and some have stood the test of time and are even relevant today. The ad below is one of the best I've ever seen, it's actually recent; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdWkKKSckNk [^Tell me that wasn't awesome! ] Post your favorite gaming-related commercials here! :D
Milkyway64
Have some pasta from the shoutbox: Milkyway64 : (05 October 2011 - 03:25 PM) That was cool. At first, I thought it was an ad for generic war game 387. Milkyway64 : (05 October 2011 - 03:25 PM) Then I saw glowing eyes. And then SOLID FREAKING SNAKE. And I was all "wut." Milkyway64 : (05 October 2011 - 03:26 PM) Then I figured out what they were leading up to and I was all "oooohhhh man" Sylum : (05 October 2011 - 03:26 PM) lolwut Milkyway64 : (05 October 2011 - 03:26 PM) My biggest complaint is how OOC Kratos was. Milkyway64 : (05 October 2011 - 03:27 PM) He wasn't murdering any body, that's out of character.
Furygun81
Here's an advert for the fighting game Tekken 4. It's funny, but a bit loud. And this one was just weird. Shaq Fu, sucked then, sucks now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JSuqIMUB6mg And here's an advert for milk that uses the fighting game Tekken 3 to promote it, it's extremely weird. I'd have to agree, though Kratos may've been OOC, all characters have to find some time to unwind, right? Maybe he'll take up knitting in his spare time. __ Gotta love Sega, eh?;
Dublinthefox
If only this came out in the states: Behold the power of Tekken! Might as well, since this is a Star Fox site:
sniper
I always appreciated video game commercials. While they may not have done much for the video game industry, I always thought it was a refreshing change from regular commercials and a great way to promote interest in games. jesseboyd7
One of my favourite games, and it's also one of my favourite adverts! I remember watching this as a kid. Totally liked it because it was funny. Mascots taking each other out . The original Play Station commercials were funny remember Crash? http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=ikIhzIuXwHY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkCf7LPHJe4&feature=related
