Borderlands 1 was a pretty good game. Lots of guns, well, thousands of guns, good variety of enemies, decent challenge, etc.

Of course, it had its flaws such as the backpedal-fest and near combat-useless vehicles.

Anyone here interested in Borderlands 2? Thoughts? Predictions?

Borderlands 1 was the best game ever... the first time you played it, but it lacked any replay value, and I doubt Borderlands 2 will have that feeling of awesomeness that came from Borderlands being new.

I'll hold off on it for a while.

Weeeell, the game is different every time you play it in the way you can try a new class, you can build each class different ways, and the combat is different should you choose to build a class with a specific gun class.

The repetition comes from the quests requiring you to do the same thing every time you play but that's excusable as many great replayable games do the same.

They're saying number 2 will have better character interaction and story development, too. This was one of the main beefs Borderlands players had especially since a big part of the story came from the scattered voice recordings you had to collect for various quests. These were annoying most of the time and were pretty quiet. They didn't really mean much to the casual Borderlands player.

When my friends and I beat Borderlands, however, that was kinda it. Even with other classes and talents, it was just boring at that point.

I really enjoyed Borderlands for its unique graphical signature and its hilarious completely epic mad post-apocalyptic western universe.

The experience is exhilarating to say the least, from blasting creatures and thugs away to the juicy lines heard here and there...

Needless to say that I'm really looking forward to seeing what they'll come up with next! :3

More gun types? That's for sure.

The trailer shows a single character. I hope he won't be alone, but I have to admit it would be an interesting alternative to have a lot of character development coupled to a high degree of skill customization.

I highly doubt he will be alone. He may not even be a playable character.

I am too looking forward to the juicy lines although hopefully there will be more variety rather than "AWWRAHT! HEELZ!" Every time a health vial drops.
