"People, let's forget about this mission - it's done. Let's focus on getting a little R & R and getting the next mission," Kyle said.

"No room for me" Balsa said, Cleaning Blood off of an Ancient looking spear. "The rules of the coarse say i must expose myself to the elements whenever i may. The roof is my chosen quarters for the night."

"And zack, i was rescuing people you apparently forgot existed, i do really think i am excused for being "late"

Kyle turned to Luke. "Yeah, same room for us." Returning his attention to Star, he asked, "Are you alright?"

Kay turned his head to face Balsa. "You'll get paid when our employers release our payment here in the next twelve hours," he answered. "Until then, just kick back and relax... Do whatever it is you do to unwind from a mission."

" Ha! a little bit

Of combat and you all are ready for sleep! Well i a little disapointed." he smiled slyly. " i do have my Own place in the city however, implorer provided so it isn't much. But you all are plenty welcome to come. And its free. And theirs a porch for your friend over there" he offered looking curiously at the ancient spear.

THe Spear in question was dark brown on the hilt, patterns and Runes trailing from the blade to the base. At the end was a Small weight, pointed and silver. The Blade was a foot long, bound to the shaft by a light brown cord. This was all unimportant however, as when one looked at it one found that i was repulsive to even gaze at, let alone wield.

"I do believe we should find more work before we settle in for R and R" Balsa said, still fondly and carefully wiping off the blood pooled onto the blade.

"Hm, you have a point there," Kyle admitted. "We don't know if--"

"Am I interrupting?" said a German accent behind everyone. Kyle turned to see a Terran male in a green uniform.

"I'm sorry, who are you?" Kyle asked.

"Colonel Simon of the New Berlin Counter-Terrorist Coalition," the German responded.

"Uh... okay. How can we help you, colonel?" Kyle asked.

"I have a... job for you," Simon said. "Pull it off, you each get 35k in credits, footed by the Alliance."

Balsa's first question wasnt of morality, nor location and target, but rather of monetary value.

"WHat is the conversion rate of credits to other currancy?" she asked, looking up from attempting to cut off the bar stool of the patron next to her without his noticing.

"Luke Graham", Luke said as he stuck his hand out to Simon

James turned around from his seat but he barely aknowlagded the german. Humans could be dangourus and two faced, you had to becarful with them even if You knew them. Instead he simply noded at him, there was no sense in being rude.

"WHat is the conversion rate of credits to other currancy?" she asked, looking up from attempting to cut off the bar stool of the patron next to her without his noticing.

"Well, I wouldn't know - one, because I don't know what you use as currency, and two because I am a Military Officer, not a mathematician or scientist," Simon explained.

"Luke Graham," Luke said as he stuck his hand out to Simon, "what is the job you have for us?"

"Zeh 'job' as you put it, is a very... delicate matter. Firstly, we need you to infiltrate a rebel base," Simon explained.

"Obviously, we can't just walk in with forged papers, correct?" Kyle asked.

"Correct," Simon affirmed. "Zeh base is hevily-fortified, nestled in zeh forests of Jericho VII. More importantly, they know everyone zhere, so getting disguises is out. You ville need to find some way inside without being detected."

"Assuming we get in," Kyle said, "What are we looking for?"

"Zhere are two objectives - zeh first is a computer system somewhere in zeh base. I vish I knew where it vas, but, unfortunately, I do not. Second, zhere are four NBCTC operatives trapped inside. If zhey are still alive, get zhem out. Otherwise, just access the rebel computers, download any tactical data you can, and get out."

"What sort of 'tactical data' is the NBCTC looking for?" Kyle asked.

"Anything you think we'll use," Simon responded. "We'll be waiting for you." He then turned around and marched out of the bar. As he marched off, Kyle remained sitting with his eyes on Simon.

Something sure the hell isn't right, he thought.

"Of coarse" Balsa said, her sholders dropping. "Rebels, its always rebels. You just cant leave them alone, you gotta slaughter them wholesale. Fletching Dictators..." She finished her green drink than shifted towards The others.

"Well, gents, how do we do this? Sneaking is right out with all of your homocidal tendencies."

I say we get in and get out" james said. "the delivery man trick could work. Rebels or not they need supplies, but instead of supplies they get a few mercinaries" he through the idea shrouging his shoulders

"Perhaps," Kyle said. "But we need to get some rest. We'll head out first thing tomorrow." He looked to Star. "Star, are you gonna be okay?"

"Well, let's just get our room and you can sleep," Kyle said to her softly. "If you need me to help you get there, just ask, sweetheart - don't overwork yourself."

"No sleep for me tonight." Balsa said, her eyes cast downward in prayer. "I must keep training, so spake the elder gods." She hunched over in her chair. "I will be on the roof here in the morning, come and get me when we leave for the "rebel" base"

Luke walked in the hotel and then he went up to the counter asking,"hello, I was wondering how much it would be for thr-", he then cut himself off thinking that Balsa will probably be on the roof as usual,"two rooms for a night?", he said almost immediately.

"For you my friend... $10 a room",the counter man replied in a thick Russian accent.

Kyle tipped the bartender, then put one of Star's arms around his shoulder. "C'mon, darling - let's get our room so we can rest." He gently lifted Star up. "I'll carry you if I have to," he chuckled.
