Who would you prefer to win the Republican preliminaries for 2012?

Simple question.

Who would you vote (or would if you could) on the Republican preliminaries for 2012?

I really think Herman Cain would be the best given option, for not only he could win, but that he would be a decent President.

The Republican field this year is a joke. Contrast this year's group with the all-star field they had back in 1980 with big names like Ronald Reagen and George H. W. Bush (among many others) who each had a long list of high profile positions (ex. C.I.A. director for Bush) and you'll clearly see what I mean.

No president has ever had two terms with unemployment over 9% since the Depression years and Obama could easily become the first to so so. If Obama wins it will be because the GOP field is pathetic - that is all.

I hope Nader finally wins. If people have the balls to actually vote for their preferred candidate (aka a crapload of people but dont think he'll win) Nader will have a signifigant chance.

I think that it might be best to get out of the usual slick, slimy politicos.

I really don't like Romney's ways. (and to think he's leading polls only based by female voting. Gosh...)

Cain's proyection is that of a normal everyday man. Came from the business world and it's an outsider with the right ideas.

I like the idea of Ralph Nader as the Republican nominee. Especially of the modern Republican party. The idea of the modern Republican party standing for protecting consumers from the predation of business is an idea that fills me with evil mirth.

Personally, I think the Republicans would have the best chance with Romney or Huntsman. But the GOP base doesn't like Romney and Huntsman has the taint of having worked for the Great Satan Obama, so they paw after nimrods like Perry and Cain and Bachmann--and, hell, at this rate they'll start touting Newt Gingrich as The One after Cain inevitably loses his luster--and they sing the praises of people who aren't even in the race, like Chris Christie, and then Ron Paul rants and raves in the background and the others just kind of awkwardly wait for him to die or something.

Eventually I suppose Romney will win as the "safe" choice, but I'd be surprised if he has an easy time of it, or an enthusiastic following coming out. I suspect he'll be sort of the inverse of Obama in 2008: where Obama came out of his primary fight with energized and excited supporters, I'm betting Romney will come out with a whole lot of people who just settled for him and still lust after "true conservatives" like Bachmann and Cain.

which just makes me go lawl, to be honest

EDIT: wow, see above, lol

I would believe that Ron Paul would be the best primary of the Republican side because of his belief that the constitution is popular. RP also wants end the Federal Reserve System to turn back to the sound money which is gold and silver as legal tender as lawful money.

I highly doubt the other candidates including Obama are not interested in constitutional values anymore including sound money.
