Star Fox: Assault - REVISED

Revised meaning without Star Fox Adventures. Has anyone done this yet?

BTW, I'll be using Fred's visual description of Fara, the black hair makes it for fennec. So credit to Freddy for the picture.

Other than that, Chapter 1 will be out this Sunday.

Actually, I HAVE been thinking about it but keep the original crew with Peppy in the Great Fox (No Fara since I never heard of her before now.):

The scene in Fichina where they enter the enemy base, one member might notice that there aren't many fighters around and suspect the door will lead to a trap (Probably Peppy detecting a squad of enemy soldiers).

As for Sauria, Krystal is supposed to detect cries of pain coming from that planet. Removing it removes the diversion set by the aparoids and makes the Corneria mission useless. Rather than removing 2 levels and making the game even shorter, have another planet send a distress signal and the team responding to it.

Those are the only 2 changes I can think of for now apart from dialogue changes.

As for the character replacing Krystal, where did she come from and how will the series explain how she became part of the team?

Fara was a character in the Star Fox comics that came out when the SNES game was popular.

No, this is a timeline where Krystal never even was in Star Fox, assuming Dinosaur Planet was released for the N64 as it was intended to. Im playing God and altering reality which is amazing btw. I'll be starting the actually story in a separate post and most of it is going to mimic the original Assault but not directly copy. At least I'll try not to, even though there are parts where it is unavoidable.

Star Fox: Assault - REVISED

Chapter 1 - Andross's Final Attack

A large fleet of warships pass through space toward a forest covered planet with another fleet surrounding it. The incoming fleet was comprised of streamlined, clean and light grey hull plating. They were the Cornerian Star Fleet. The fleet at the planet was made of dirty looking and clunky ships that appear to be old and over used. This was what was left of Andross's once great and powerful military force. The Cornerian Star Fleet began to fire laser rounds at the enemy, long and bright beams of light that seared through some of the toughest metals known to man but took a long time to charge. Andross's fleet began to fall apart and degrade as each ship in the line of fire was hit by these bursts. "The fleet is surrounded. Alpha Unit, track down Oikonny's command ship and disable it." "Copy, command. Alpha Unit proceeding to target." A small attack group began to close in on a larger ship which sheltered Andrew Oikonny. Oikonny, Andross's nephew, was all that was left of the Andross line and was put in charge of the remainder of the fleet, even if his command skills were lacking to some degree. "30 seconds to target. Bombers, ready torpedoes." "Torpedoes ready, Alpha Leader." The small attack group closed in on the ship closer and closer. "10 seconds to target." "Alpha leader, Im detecting odd anomalies. Sugge- ....." "Alpha 4, repeat that..... Alpha 4, do you copy?" One of the star bombers in the attack group was destroyed by an unknown assailant. "All fighters, scramble! Abort the run! I repeat, ab-....." An attack fighter was shot down but another unknown assailant. "Command, Alpha Leader and Alpha 4 are down. Requesting and assis-...." "Scout vessel Redeemer to command, Alpha Unit was destroyed by stealth fighters. Unable to track targets." "Command to all vessels, fall back and hold the line, we cannot engage." "Redeemer to command, sensors are picking up another ship.... It's the Great Fox!" Another ship, similar to the Cornerian vessels but different in aerodynamic design and sporting the words "Star Fox" on each side of the ship was flying into the playing field. On it's bridge was the Star Fox team: Fox McCloud, Falco Lombardi, Slippy Toad, Peppy Hare, and ROB64. "Team Star Fox, reporting for duty." said Fox over radio to the Cornerian flagship.
