Harlow
Plus I doubt there'd be a whole lot who would anyway, because the while the law would allow it, it'd take quite some time for the public perception of it all to change. Well, to change the public mind, one can't wait till it changes alone. What if every woman, hypothetically, who at first supported this has the same follower mindset? Drasiana
We've had 2 say no, including Dras. That much is down to the person, their habbits, what they are comfortable in and around, etc. I might, provided the circumstances when I think about it. People are shocked enough to see me in a dress now and then, so to acknoweldge THERE ARE BOOBS IN THERE would make my friends shit bricks xD That being said, whether or not America turns into an instant festival of toplessness shouldn't stop there from being a law for equality's sake. A law allowing topless women wouldn't mean YAY BOOBS FOR EVERYONE...it would just offer a choice for women instead of having it already made for them. And the people who decide for them are either misinformed about human sexuality to the highest degree (including rape motivators), or are of the outdated mindset that the female body is somehow more dirty than the male. Xortberg
Alright, a question just occurred to me. Say a man - big old burly man with impressive facial hair, for the sake of this question - went out and got breast implants. And I mean sexy, girly tits, not the saggy fat man kind. Could he get in trouble for walking around shirtless? EDIT: On another note, found this: http://blogs.village...less_bowery.php Apparently women can go topless in NYC. Fira-Astrali
A question for female members who support this. If any law or document's approved about going topless in some places (e.g: beaches), would you be willing to do it? Not attacking anyone or anything wrong, just curious. Plus I doubt there'd be a whole lot who would anyway, because the while the law would allow it, it'd take quite some time for the public perception of it all to change. It has recently come to my attention that their are annual topless walks in a city near me, thanks to the bylaw saying they can, and I would go to that, since I wouldn't be the only one. Its hard to do your thing if its very, VERY against the grain as this would be, but if there are others around willing to do it with you it would be okay. That being said, it would depend what month its in, because I'm all for womens rights, but im not freezing my t*ts of for it :P

If any law or document's approved about going topless in some places (e.g: beaches), would you be willing to do it? Not attacking anyone or anything wrong, just curious. To answer you directly, Harlow... I'm female, yes, and I do support this idea of having equal views of each gender bearing their chest. Be it in their garden, at the beach, where ever. If a man can walk around topless and not be frowned upon, a woman should be able to do the same thing, if she wishes. However, I would not do this. I was raised in a sort of strict household, I was taught to see my breasts as "private parts", on the same level as my other regions. Why? Because that's how it is, right? Boobs are naughty. I myself am a very shy person. I don't get changed in front of anyone, hell, I struggled to find the courage to go get my breasts measured in La Senza. The only person I would want to see this part of me is my partner, and even when, a certain level of trust is required for me to act upon anything. I can respect a woman's right to be shirtless, and if she wants that, awesome, more power to her. But I'd rather keep myself hidden, personally. LoneWolf
You know, even as a dude, with the right to go shirtless, I rarely do, and usually only around pools, etc. I just don't see the point in going shirtless where I can wear a thin shirt and be just as happy. I don't see why women would do it either, besides to just show off.

I mentioned running at cross country, but say mowing the lawn, or even just walking around on a particularly hot day. Taking a shirt of helps, and it has nothing to do with showing off. Plus, we've already gone over how the concept of "showing off" your boobs is pretty ridiculous itself, since the boobs aren't explicitly sexual. And you don't see why women would do it other than to "show off"? Did you read ANY of Xort or I's examples? Here are some instances where toplessness would be beneficial: Yard-work. Gardening, raking, mowing the lawn, etc.By the beach. Again with the heat, and getting an even tan.Running/jogging. There are some jiggle physics that would make this hurt for SOME women, but not everyone has big ol' boobs that are painful to run with. Hell, I'm not exactly as flat as a breadboard and I can run without keeling over in pain.Pretty much any instance where you're met with intense heat, be it a scorcher day when you need to go out and about, or working out at the gym. If showing off is a problem for only women for you, I'd like to direct your attention to the gentlemen of the Jersey Shore.
