Gene Inari
After the first outbreak at Mercy Hospital, it seemed peaceful. But all it took was for one infected to make to a populated area where the police don't pay much attention to. And thus, it did. First it seemed like a minor rise in the crime rate, then it got bigger. In one week, reports of random attacks began pouring in on the police radios. It finally became clear when she received a dead body for to perform an autopsy, that sprang to life in the cold storage. And thus, she called Kruger, Keaton, and Jason immediately. Leaving work and ignoring her coworkers shouting for leaving, she declared a full on alert and to immediately grab all supplies needed and head to the safe house immediately. It was happening. In a week, it went from a Class 1 to a Class 2 outbreak in several locations in the city. Traffic jams were all over town. Cars were useless. You may have used the subway or a bicycle. But the safe house was supposed to be easy to get to from everyone's home. The safe house itself was actually a high school. But why, one might wonder, would one stay there? Because most schools are built like fortresses in NYC. With strong doors and cinder-block structures, it was perfect. It had a library for books to do research on new survival techniques, but also for entertainment. Plus, it had a fully stocked cafeteria for food. And it was right next to Julia's town home. But more importantly, the school was the very last place any civilian, infected or not, would think to take shelter in (Max Brooks, Zombie Survival, 2005). Gene immediately moved crates and boxes of weapons, gear, and supplies from his townhouse to the backdoor of the school and into the designated supply-room, which was really just a classroom. He then began to perform the checklist for everything they needed: Weapons included 4 rifles, 2 shotguns, 4 pistols, several gallons of gasoline and motor oil for molotovs, and house-hold chemicals for constructing pipe-bombs. Gene felt almost guilty taking such dangerous equipment into a school, but this was for their survival. Plenty of boxes of ammo were included for all weapons. The second crate had flashlights, radios, binoculars, a pair of night goggles, extra heavy-clothes for everyone, water filters, compass, maps, and tool boxes, as well as empty bottles and parts for constructing pipe bombs. Included as a binder: was The Anarchist Cookbook for instructions mainly for making explosives, but for stuff like picking locks and hotwiring cars. The third crate had extra food and a small electric burner. And the last crate had an electric-bicycle generator attached to a car battery. This would allow them to provide power in case the electricity went out, but also permitted them to exercise to maintain their athletic abilities while they waited for the right time to leave the city (the objective after surviving the initial outbreak). Gene did the check and hoped everyone else would arrive soon. They had more work to be done. He could already hear screams in the far distance as he guarded the backdoor. Keaton scrambled at her home, randomly cursing as she grabbed boxes out of the crawl space of her basement. She was critiquing a movie that was due to release in a few weeks, and had her phone silent, so she didn't get the message until hours later. The contents of the boxes were mostly camping and adventuring gear and canned foods, but it was still useful stuff. Keaton was grateful for the old pick up she had. While a good 30 years old (older than her), it was well maintained throughout the years and could take a beating. It also had a jacked suspension and huge wheels. Impractical for city driving, but awesome nevertheless. Not much in fuel mileage either, but oh well. She made a final checklist of her boxes as she shoved in one labeled just 'gear'. Keaton grabbed her cell phone and sent a text to everyone telling them she was on her way. She twisted the keys and the old pickup rumbled and groaned to life. She flipped down the visor in front of her and pulled back a few stray strands of sandy blond hair that were in her face. Keaton looked in the honey eyes of her reflection for a moment before flicking the visor back up. She gripped the wheel and peeled out of the driveway. (I'm going to be RPing two characters and GMing for the group as a whole. Just post your entrance with your character showing up to the school.) Salem
Butch held his AA-12 scanning the area as he walked in to an old school hoping to find some supplies,'I hope there's something useful in here', he thought to himself.
Dr. Orange
Michael come in to the school on the opposite side as Butch. Not knowing he was there, Michael started looking through the classrooms once filled by living souls. At one point he thought he saw someone. Holding HK416 at the ready and slowly moving towards the wall and starts picking at the door to one of the classrooms. Once he opened it, he scavenged though boxes only to find books. "Look for supplies in a English Class, smart High, smart." He said in an irritated voice.
Renardfrost
Ren managed to get into the school by jumping the fence... he made it here on the shoeleather express, and damn he was wiped. " M-made it...." he wheezed, leaning under a tree in the main yard
The Shaper
3 men stood at an abandon street intersection. The first man held a bat with a railroad spike sticking out one side and a 9mm Beretta. The second man held a Tec9 SMG and a large hunting knife. The third brandished a rifle and had a crowbar attached to the side of his belt. The first man took a swig of beer from a flask and spoke. "Alright anyone got any ideas?" The second man replied. "I heard on an emergency broadcast that there's an old school that's been converted into a safe house. I say we head there." "We're freelancers Davis, I don't like the idea of spending months inside an old building waiting for someone to save us." The third man said back. "Yeah I know, but we might be able to get some supplies out of it, so we can keep going to the countryside where it's safe." The second man known as Davis replied. "All I know is, I never liked the idea of going back to high school. But no harm in checking it out." The first man said. The three men then got onto 3 nearby choppers and headed to the direction of the school.
Gene Inari
((Outside of direct interaction between characters, I'll be leaving GM posts plain white instead of colored)) Butch held his AA-12 scanning the area as he walked in to an old school hoping to find some supplies,'I hope there's something useful in here', he thought to himself. While you haven't found anyone yet, you do hear movement, too fast and with obvious purpose, so whomever they were, they weren't zombies. You hear some muffled shuffling and thudding of something thick in a classroom down the hall. You hear a voice coming from that room, but you are too far to tell what it is. Gene was busy boarding up and securing the area, piling the countless desks by windows and doors. It was a temporary measure at best and doing it alone was a slow and frankly back-breaking process. Gene kept a shotgun strapped around his shoulder and a pistol close at hand just in case the zombies broke in a little sooner than expected. Ren managed to get into the school by jumping the fence... he made it here on the shoeleather express, and damn he was wiped. " M-made it...." he wheezed, leaning under a tree in the main yard While you have in fact made it too the school, your rest isn't long. Just across the street, beyond the wrecked and abandoned cars, a pair of zombies heard the noise of Ren climbing the fence and started shuffling that way towards the source. Other zombies were scattered about, but still unaware. However, before Ren could decide to open fire or just run, the distinct roar of a diesel engine cut into the air. The last thing going through the zombies' heads was the grille of a speeding truck. Keaton hopped out and climbed on to the bed of her truck to observe the surroundings. The coywolf armed with the civilian model of a rifle scanned around and spotted Ren. "Hey!" She yelled and gestured for him to come over. "You one of the guys that got the message? Help me get this crap in before more zeds show up!"
Renardfrost
He waved over, smiling widely. " Sure thing... Toss the boxes over and I'll catch em! Don't worry how heavy they are... I'm tough."

Dr. Orange
Michael saw something out of the corner of his eyes and looks out the window to the streets. He saw to people standing outside. He took his HK416 and smashed it against the window. It broke into small pieces as they fell out of the frame. Using a mirror on a nearby desk tried to signal the ones near the street. "Look at the light, look at the light." He said in a whispered tone.
