ZM Anonymous
What did we learn today, children? Never trust Encyclopedia Dramatica as a credible source. You'll get burned.
TCPeppyTc
@ Dras. I know ED is a gag website, but it has nuggets of truth. ED is not my trump card for this argument, It just gives my observation at least some validation. Anyway this issue and others have been resolved. Slash is by and large gay, often created by girls ( as opposed to gays). I suppose I had better have my facts straight before I take up such an issue. Also, ED is probably the most offensive website out there, yet I still find it funny, since I think its satire
unoservix
ED doesn't validate you in any way.
Drasiana
Your "observation" would be a little more valid if it actually came from fandom experience and not a site that (often poorly) makes it its job to smear shit all over everything. Also, my mentioning fangirls--for that specific arguement about why a lot of slash "sucks"--does not in any way mean that gay men don't write slash either. "User"
I wouldn't discount ED completely as a credible source. They are fairly accurate in general when it comes to things like drama concerning certain individuals or the chronology of internet related "wars" or other such events. Even though it can be greatly exaggerated (and it's blatantly obvious to anyone with half a brain when it is) people just don't completely make shit up on the fly in everything that's entered in an article. This all being said yeah, the site is up mainly for lulz and nothing more. They have a link to Star Fox Online by the way at the bottom of the Star Fox article lol

Asper Sarnoff
They have a link to Star Fox Online by the way at the bottom of the Star Fox article lol I remember that. I also remember that completely coincidentaly, that it was edited in just after we banned some asswtat from SF-O...

TCPeppyTc
I think they are just trying to make fun of every thing in the world. They have one good point though. TCPeppyTc
Yes. People on internet spell on " ass-burgers" just to be silly. There is also a south park episode about it
Xortberg
This topic managed to make it a page and a half before it turned to a completely new subject, and several of those posts were spent pointing out how pointless this topic is. I believe this proves just how pointless it was in the first place.

ZM Anonymous
*attempting to rerail the topic* So . . . What do you think of Star Fox Yaoi?
Drasiana
Workable in theory, usually terrible in execution, though that goes for most fanfiction and most pairings in general (hell, look at the canon ones). Romance at the forefront of a story has never particularly interested me, gay or straight, though I don't mind romances themselves being involved so long as they don't dominate the story when the story doesn't necessarily even need them. Writing Star Fox relationships to begin with is tricky being that you have to, as the writer, fix the various personality inconsistancies while maintaining a characterization that's familiar to your audience. This generally means not casting Fox as a kawaii waifu with his tsundere seme Wolf calling each other "bakas" and blushing a lot. You're not writing Generic Yaoi Bishies #1 and #2, you're writing Fox McCloud, leader of Star Fox, and his arch-rival the fearsome Wolf O'Donnell. I want to read about those guys, and if they're gay, cool, but the second Fox goes "W-Wolf-kun~" I'm out. So, would I be interested if you had a good story that just so happened to have Fox and Wolf develop feelings for one another? Of course. Heck, if you go the route of the whole "hate each other and have drastically different goals and moral compasses, can never really work out because of where they stand, yet are insanely attracted to one another for some reason", that might even be awesome (and I say this based on a certain other non-Starfox ship I happen to have) I just don't really ever see it pulled off that well. As it stands, I don't really "ship" any Star Fox characters, straight or gay, at least enough to wear it as a badge. I guess I've always seen Fay and Miyu as being all lesbian together for some reason so there's that? And the aforementioned handling of a Fox/Wolf relationship. But it hasn't happened to the extent of getting me actually interested and honestly I find non-romantic relationships to be far more interesting. Show me a fanfiction comparing and contrasting Fox and Andrew as the mirror characters they so obviously are over soothing furry buttsex any day. So basically if this post made no sense here all I'm saying is "Star Fox slash could be good if it didn't all suck".

Can't really think of any good reason why, it just... clicks together that way. I'd probably largely disapprove of it as well, unless it had Krystal/Fara/Katt pairings, then it might be worth a read.
