Valve VS EA for WiiU Online?

GoNintendo is reporting an interesting rumor:

That Valve wants to put Steam on WiiU, but EA wants Origin to be the exclusive WiiU Online system.

The source for the rumor is some forum thread, so take it with the requisite amount of salt.

If this is true, my vote is for Steam. Valve + Nintendo = Epic beyond Epic

EA won't stand a chance against Valve, there's still some conspiracy issues revolving around Origin having Spyware in it and...the fact it's a crappier version of Steam, I wouldn't even bother getting Origin just for their games.

Pretty sure Nintendo would do the better deal going for Steam.

I'd also vote Steam; EA breaking away and creating Origin was just an incredibly narrow-sighted move. Here's hoping the Wii-U will live up to the hardcore crowd's hopes and dreams! :P

Seriously, I had this idea back when the Wii U was announced. Steam on the Wii U would be great. :D

Steam, it's the better business decision for Nintendo. If I remember correctly, Valve owns somewhere around 80% of all download sales.

While what is good for gamers is a no-brainer, Nintendo could be swayed by offerings from EA, like game exclusives and kickbacks from online sales.

I just hope they keep their eye on the ball here. Steam is a much larger pre-existing network with tons of core gamers already signed-up. And it has a pretty solid reputation, unlike Origin.

I also vote for Steam on this one, it's a no brainer.

Besides, Steam on WiiU also paves the way for Valve games on WiiU! (Half-Life 3 anyone?)

Steam. Nintendo needs to stop isolating themselves from the rest of the gaming industry and get with it.

I vote steam, since I kinda hate EA right now. Stupid wanykahs wouldn't renew the Porsche license for Forza 4, so the game got stuck with those imposter RUF cars. -_-

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NINTENDO, CHOOSE STEAM!
