Sarita
Steve says so, so I'll leave him alone when I find dolls that I think are beautiful. ): So yes, in case you hadn't noticed, I like to collect "toys". Mostly small time toys, like ponies, because I'm poor. But oh do I covet the more expensive dolls. The collector's art items. Asian Ball-jointed Dolls. *swoon* From Volks to Limwha, I have yet to find a company that totally turns me off. Thar be photos of dolls below-- they creep out some people, so warned you have been. Don't click the spoilers if you don't wanna see them. From Limwha, the beautiful 27cm (what is essentially "Barbie" sized) Sara sculpt. (On the left side, the doll on the right is a Momoko from another company) And contrastingly, from Volks, their Dollfie Dream line, and boy do they produce lovely limiteds. And of course, this is simply a small sample of dolls available from many different companies! So yes, a wonderful spectrum of beautiful dolls, and I have no one to share them with. ): Anyone interested?
Fluxy
Oh hey! I actually don't collect them, but my Aunt has quite a bit of them and the detail work in them is just amazing! I don't know if I'd be able to really talk so much about the brand names or where exactly they came from, but I know I love looking at them =] Specially the more old fashioned ones; And when I say that I assume they are older simply due to the ones in the first pic look a good portion newer than the ones I am used to seeing when i visit my Aunt. Arashikage
My mom loves collecting dolls, but she hasn't recently because it creeps my dad out XD, Go figure. But she has them somewhere... If you want I'll see what information I can get from her about them.
Steve
Yeah, thing is, these are not your ordinary creepy dolls, these are dolls that cost a fortune xD. 500 dollars and up. All of them are creepy but the Dollfie ones, but then again, aren't those over 1000 dollars for a good one? I will away patiently to be smacked cause I'm trolling your topic They are supposed to be collective items so that's why they cost that much. FoxMcCloud
So funny story, I went to my commander's house and made a mention of all the Barbie collection dolls that his wife had. My Commanding officer then gave me the nickname Sgt. Barbie.
Vy'drach
Only doll I'd actually have an interest in owning is Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds Barbie, where the birds are trying to peck out her eyes (not kidding). Everything else, like my ponies, are figures. Yyyyeeeeessss... figures. That's it.
Psygonis
My sister used to collect these too (for some time). I don't get it somehow. Spending that much money for just collection. I mean, I play airsoft and replicas/outfits are expensive, but I use them! :P
