I know i enjoyed star fox adventures and that it is not only my favorite star fox games but, one of my favorite games of all time. But to any you, did any of you actually think of it as a ,simply put, "bad game" that you found little enjoyment to? i hear negative opinions on it all the time and how it wasn't another "real" star fox game. and i understand that it could have frustrated you, but did any of you actually sit back and go " wtf, what a horrid game " ?

I did at the very beginning of the game.

I enjoyed the first time playing and beating the game. It was fun, looked nice, had some interesting music, but I got a little less interested when I reached the Cloudrunner fortress and Dragonclaw Rock wasn't my favorite place either. Although the second playthrough yielded staler results since there is only a few secrets in the game to begin with and after you've found them once, there is less rewarding staisfaction finding them the second time.

I paid about $8 for it so yeah for me it was worth it.

This topic again? Really? Milky and co. are gonna come in here and destroy it like they always do, the fanboys are gonna defend it and cry "OPINION!!!1!" and User is gonna be an utter furry Krystalfag.

There. I just saved everyone the trouble of actually posting by using my prophetic abilities to predict the course of the topic.

It's not a bad game, it just feels wrong when it comes to Starfox, Gameplay wise imo.

I beat the game 2 times, and I did not think it was horrid, but I also didn't have a "weeee this is awesome" time. Average to the most, from my point of view.

i was wondering why Xzibit put some Zelda in my Star Fox so i could play Zelda while i played Star Fox because to be honest i'm not that big a Zelda fan to begin with but i mean oh well it was a thoughtful gesture all the same

that Xzibit, man, he is a pretty cool guy, he puts things in other things so you can do things while you do other things and doesn't afraid of anything

I regret nothing about playing it, and will play it again every once in a while.

That's funny because I use have quote of milky saying he liked adventures. He thinks it's not as good as a Zelda or a SF. And while he may disappointed in what it could have been he wasn't disatisfeid with the game and he did enjoy it as I remember.

Do we really need to keep half-assedly white knighting this game? Some people thought it sucked. It isn't off in a corner somewhere gently sobbing to itself while etching wounds into its game disk because of that.

That's not an answer. Besides I can't actually recall anyone claiming they thought it was a purely bad game.

No, that's not an answer. Great job! You pass reading comprehension!

Problem officer? Really though. I asked a question and didn't get an answer. Were is the answer! Not answering is to completely miss the point of the thread.

so when she questions the point of this thread, instead of answering her or clarifying it in any way, you cry about how she is not answering you

brilliant! i shall call it Bitchception

anyways, what is the point of this thread, because from where i'm sitting it looks like you're trying (and very badly failing) to pick a fight

Well, except for the very first response to the thread I guess. The fact that Xort liked that post is pretty indicative about how he felt about it too. Uno hates it, a good chunk of aL dislikes it, I have friends and acquaintances in real life who were casual fans of the first games that unanimously say "it lost its lustre once Adventures came out".

Me, I thought it was mediocre. It looked nice and felt nice but the plot was horrible nonsense that shattered the world of Lylat and shoehorned the infamously useless Krystal into the series for the sake of reaching vagina quota. The gameplay was one long fetch quest with a handful of engaging parts, and there was almost no replay value. So that's my answer. Mediocre as a regular game, "purely bad" as a Star Fox game.

Your demand for an answer--and this topic's existence in general--seems like an attempt by you at justifying Adventures as being a "good game" simply by the criteria of "well you wouldn't commit genocide because of it". Those people you conveniently "can't recall" saying they disliked it do exist, but anything less than "seething hatred" doesn't automatically make the opinion of a game a good one.

Some replies in this thread fail. :-P

Star Fox Adventures is one of the best games ever made. A wonderful Star Fox game and an even more brilliant game in general.

My opinion.

No I don't mean to justify adventures as a good game XD. But your answer is good and I am glad you also told me that you no quite a few persons who dislike it . That's what I am looking for.

Uno XD a fight?! Trying

To start a fight on a thread about a video game, lol good one. I'll have to save it for a party.... Besides no other user is having trouble understanding the point of this thread

Well see, considering there's been about 5 billion "Did you like Adventures," "Was Adventures good," "Was Adventures bad," etc. threads, and the topic has been discussed into the ground time and time again, I really see no other reason for you to revive this thread. Especially since it always ends up going this route.

a clever* evasion, AJC, but to quote a certain spergy someone:

I may not be helping here, but I think we're getting way off topic. The question in the thread was "Was Adventures worth your money?" If it wasn't, say it wasn't. Personally, I don't see the point in questioning the point of the thread, all it does is divert the topic away from the original point, and make people angry. I may be way out of line here, but is that what we need here?

Anyway, I will have to say that I didn't mind Adventures. To me, it was a new twist on a great game, and while they may not have done the best job with it, it certainly wasn't an epic fail. They tried at least. They ventured into a new territory with the Star Fox name, rather than keeping it a railshooter game after game after game, and I applaud them for it, however it certainly wasn't my favorite Star Fox game.

seeing as how there are at least two "did Adventures suck" threads on this page and one of them was posted in only a few weeks ago, and seeing as how AJC is apparently trying to pick a fight with shadows on the wall, yeah, there is a point to questioning the point of this thread

so, again i say, why are you bringing this up again?

i guess i can see the logic in this, i expect nothing less from xort ;), but let me give you an example. Milky is as we all know against adventures for the most part. saying its so full of wholes he surprised he didn't fall through the floor. this is his response to all former topics. however, upon my asking of the question did you think the game was worth it? he said it was good enough. he did enjoy it enough to get by and was regretful about his playing of it. Now thats a Completely different answer relative to former threads on this similar topic.

however i fail to see logic in this other then it prehaps being a joke, dras truly didn't answer the question intill later. Not a problem any how. it seems like you are quite bent on making me seem like i am trying to start a fight.

now lets actually try to stay on topic here

Locked by OP's request.

My personal opinion mirrors Uno's, Dras, and Xort's with regards to this topic's existence as well. :/
