Getting Closer

The main site will go up in the next couple of days, but it will be under heavy construction throughout at least next month. I have a working knowledge of the system now and I'm now going to explain what we have and I need from you folks.

Everything is organized in this way:

Categories > contain > Sections > contain > Actual content (images, text, etc.)

So, I through together this section system as a primer:

http://starfox-online.net/schema.txt

Try to suggest some other category/section areas.

Also, we need a logo of some kind.

Logo? Done.

I have a much larger version of it, so it can be whatever size we want it to be, but here's what I have.

As far as my ideas for the site go, well... looks good to me anyway... I don't really see anything left out of that list, at least not that I can think of right now.

We'll definately need it bigger, but I like the winged fox you've got there.

But then wouldn't we run into copyright issues and whatnot if we use it as our own?

The copyright is owned by Nintendo. The same thing applies to the logo as does the screenshots. The good news is that Nintendo has a small clause in their copyright statements. Instead of saying:

"All images, text, scenarios, sound, etc are copyright Nintendo and may not be used without permission."

They say:

"All images, text, scenarios, sound, etc are copyright Nintendo and may not be used without permission in a way that causes confusion about Nintendo's products."

So basically, as long as we aren't making money off the site or bashing/misrepresenting the games we talk about, we are allowed to have as much stuff as we want on a fansite.
