  • NintendoLand "Metroid Blast" attraction was originally a Star Fox attraction

    • Teaser Paragraph:

Yoshikazu Yamashita, the director for NintendoLand, told Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu that the Metroid Blast attraction was originally intended to be a Star Fox attraction, but the design ended up not properly fitting the series:

"There was a time when Metroid Blast was going to be a Star Fox title, but the prototype featured this vehicle that hovered around like a helicopter and we figured that'd never be a good match for an Arwing."

The article also mentions that the Donkey Kong Crash Course attraction was originally going to be either ExciteBike or 1080 Snowboarding.

It's a shame that Star Fox missed-out on NintendoLand, but at least it was seriously considered, so there is some tiny consolation there.

Yeah sorta good and bad news here, they're still thinking about SF.

They still know 1080 Snowboarding exists though which is even more surprising!

I would rather have a Star Fox attraction, but at least Nintendo hasn't forgot about Star Fox.
