It's no secret in the fanbase that Hideki Kamiya of Platinum Games, which recently released The Wonderful 101 on Wii U, has had a desire to work with Star Fox.
Well, he did. Unfortunately, people didn't leave him alone about it. Frustrated with people asking about it, he told Polygon "I've been known for saying I want to work on Star Fox but the tendency for this to spread and people constantly pestering me with questions, like 'How would you do this? How would you do that?' ... Quite frankly, I've decided I don't want to work on Star Fox anymore."
This isn't all bad news, though. Firstly, there never seemed to actually be a Star Fox project at Platinum games, and secondly, even though he may have been turned-off of it, there are plenty of people who want to see Star Fox again, and that gives me hope that a new game will come some day.
